Rusty W. Hitt
Organizational Change Manager

While nowhere near extensive, here is a list of some of my favorite projects.

Project 1

Scan Gun Implementation

While small, this project was my first step into change management. It was used as a case study for a practice-based Change Management course in grad school. A small local dry cleaner was implementing a new computer system which involved scanning clothes as they entered different parts of the facility. I was tasked with managing the transition from the current to future state. I identified key influencers and implemented an information cascade through these influencers. I used a messaging campaign to drive employees along the change curve. I utilized training and job aids to drive capability. I developed a sustainment plan that included incentives for successful adoption. The client was highly satisfied with the ease and speed of the transition.

Project 2

Commercial Sales Process Implementation

A nationwide organization was implementing a new competency-based training program. I was tasked with the design and deployment of the program. I utilized change champion networks to identify competencies and communicate with the adopters. I identified exemplary performers and focus grouped them to identify key competencies. I worked with SMEs to build out a process model and to design and develop on-demand e-learning. This resulted in an decrease in incomplete or inaccurate quotes and an increase on the employee NPS metric for the Commercial Sales department.

Project 3

Oracle Cloud EPM Implementation

A global organization was implementing a cloud-based financial performance management system. I was tasked with participating in all change activities as a change management analyst. I was responsible for authoring and maintaining a communications plan as well as individual communications. I assisted with readiness sessions, super user networks, user acceptance testing, training, and change champion networks. I authored the sustainment plan for post go-live/hyper care. The result was in a successful and on time go-live that received commendation from the Chief Financial Officer.

Project 4

SAP Hybris Back Office

A global organization was implementing SAP Hybris Back Office for their ecommerce platform. I was tasked with leading the implementation from a Change Management standpoint. I worked in an Agile environment to  collect change impacts, develop a messaging campaign, identify super users, determined readiness, utilized UAT to develop training materials, designed a training strategy, project managed the development of training materials, and delivered content. This resulted in an on-time launch and the team received praise for the preparedness of users.

Project 5

eCommerce Workflow & Permissions

A global organization was implementing a new workflow for customers to utilize when approving purchases. I was tasked with leading the change management efforts for the implementation of the workflow. I utilized a messaging campaign, training solution, job aids, and videos to prepare internal employees as well as customers. The result was an on-time delivery of functionality with customer feedback showing the function was being actively utilized.

Project 6

Customer Loyalty Integration

A global organization was integrating two customer loyalty programs into one after a merger. I was tasked with leading the change management efforts for the integration. I utilized a messaging campaign, leadership alignment, employee readiness, and video training aids to prepare salespeople to discuss the new program. The result was an on-time launch of the integrated program receiving praise from leadership.

Project 7

Vertical Market Specialization

A global organization was specializing one of their markets into a separate organization. I was tasked with leading the change management efforts for the market specialization. I utilized a messaging campaign, training, leadership messaging, leadership alignment (N-1, N-2), and a phased rollout playbook. The result was a successful on-time launch for phase 1 with a repeatable process for rollout of the final 3 phases requiring no change support. I also received direct praise from the senior leadership for the success.

Project 8

Oracle Cloud EPM Implementation

A newly merged global organization was implementing Oracle Cloud Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) system across both legacy organizations. I was tasked with coordinating of the change management efforts on this high impact project affecting the entirety of an $18B organization's financial systems. I was responsible for coordinating stakeholder identification, impact collection and mitigation, messaging campaign, organizational readiness assessments, change champions, super user groups, training strategy, and sustainment planning.

Project 9

VPN to AVD

An international Fortune 500 was migrating IT contract workers from Virtual Private Networks (VPN) to using Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) for security purposes. I was tasked with leading the communication and training efforts for this project that impacted approximately 500 people. I was responsible for providing stakeholder identification, impact collection, training strategy, and all communications. There were fewer than 5 tickets opened regarding the migration, and this project went live on time and on budget.

Project 10

ITSM/ITIL Implementation

An international Fortune 500 was implementing IT Service Management processes including change & release management, problem management, incident management, and common services data model. I was tasked with leading and executing all organizational change management activities for this two-year implementation.
